What makes a good foreigner in Singapore?

Dr Mumbo read a post written by the boss of Singapore PR agency Ate Group with keen interest yesterday.

You may remember Ate Group from the comments made by its founder, Aun Koh, son of famed lawyer and diplomat Tommy Koh, who had a few words to say about his “foreign” ex-colleagues whom he accused of poaching some of his clients before launching their own agency a few months back.

Now, Adam Flinter, who is Ate Group’s executive director, has written a post entitled ‘What makes a “good” foreigner in Singapore?’

He wonders whether, among other curious musings, riding on a bus, “prawning” in the heartlands (supposedly where the “real” Singapore is), playing golf in Malaysia rather than Marina Bay Sands and hiring only Singaporeans (funny that) makes him a ‘good’ foreigner (he’s half English, half Singaporean).

Perhaps, in addition, one who doesn’t walk out with your clients, Adam?
