Dr Mumbo

Hello, why are you taking a picture of a man charging his phone at a power socket at the MRT station?

Dr Mumbo has got to the point where most posts on Singapore public shaming site STOMP are so wonderfully inane and pointless that they’re not even funny anymore.

But occasionally one is coughed up that is so unutterably banal it cannot be ignored. Like this one.

STOMP article

The copy beneath this earth-shattering piece of investigative citizen journalism reads:

A man was seen charging his handphone at a power socket at Kallang MRT station this morning by Stomper Hong Ling.

According to her, the man was watching a video on his phone while it was plugged into the power socket.

She said:

“I saw this man charging his phone at Kallang MRT station today at 9.30am.

“He was watching a video on his phone while charging it.”

The story had only been viewed twice at the time of publishing, but Dr Mumbo is not confident the dial on the “mood meter” beneath the story is going to budge much.
