Singapore gay rights movement Pink Dot SG launches ‘Freedom to love’ campaign

Pink Dot SGGay rights movement Pink Dot SG has launched a campaign to promote sexual tolerance in Singapore ahead of an event it is holding next month.

A short film featuring people talking about their sexuality and what “freedom to love” means to them launched in the conservative city-state last night.

The movement has proved controversial, with a senior politician warning sponsors of the event, which include Goldman Sachs and BP, against creating “division” with its pro-gay policies in Singapore in a Facebook post that made international headlines.

Other sponsors of Pink Dot SG include Google, Barclays, JP Morgan, Cooper Vision, Parkroyal on Pickering and audio branding agency The Gunnery.
