Strawberryfrog Singapore founding MD departs

Mary-Jane ButlerJust over a year after opening the Singapore office of independent creative agency network Strawberryfrog, managing director Mary Jane Butler has moved on.

Butler relocated from Strawberryfrog’s New York office to Singapore to open the micro-network’s Southeast Asian operation in September 2013. But the brand withdrew from the market less than a year later and handed its clients and operations over to US-based communications network APCO Worldwide.

Butler stayed on at APCO after it took Strawberryfrog’s business, but she has now moved to WPP agency Geometry Global as client services director.

She will work on clients including GSK, Lenovo and Unilever and be based in Singapore. She is the agency’s number two executive, reporting to managing director Chris Martell.

Before moving to Singapore last year, Butler spent three and a half years as a business director for Strawberryfrog New York. She worked on brands including New Balance, Pampers and Singapore’s Economic Development Board.

She has previously worked for DDB Singapore and Ogilvy in China and Bangkok.
