Marketer confidence in APAC rebounds

The confidence among marketers in Asia Pacific has rebounded after a dip to the lower level for a year last month, according to a rolling survey from Warc.

But APAC still trails the confidence of marketers – measured by expectations for trading conditions, budgets and staffing levels – in Europe and the Americas.

Growth in the global and regional confidence level was brought about by improving trading conditions in September, the report’s authors say.

Marketing budgets, which are expected to stay flat globally, also show signs of improvement in Asia, while in the Americas the picture is gloomier.

Suzy Young, data and journals director at Warc, said: “The headline GMI rose by 2 points in September, following four successive months of reduced growth, sending a positive signal to the wider global economy.”
