XM launches digital production hub in Vietnam

XM production teamDigital agency XM has set up a production hub in Vietnam that can offer front and back-end digital programming and mobile app development to other ad agencies as well as its clients across Asia.

The new unit will be run in partnership with XM Sofresh, a Ho Chi Minh City-based digital firm that XM acquired in June this year.

The JWT-aligned agency says that the key advantage of the new hub over those of its rivals is that it can scale. The agency has created a coding standard that it says can be easily re-used and enhanced by clients and their agencies.

Paul Soon, CEO of XM Asia Pacific, said: “Nowadays, clients demand the best talent and speed-to-market output, irrespective of location and origin. The mantra of “Think International, Act Local” now needs to be underscored by a world-class delivery system that can service clients across the region, rather than be limited by it. We have a digital production hub solution that can scale!”

Justin Cohen, co-founder of XM Sofresh added: “XM Sofresh Vietnam now houses some of the best innovative talent in coding and development in the region, and we are happy to be able to leverage and develop this ability to expand our services across the region.”

The unit plans to introduce new capabilities in wearable tech, multi-touch screen, digital installations and new digital hardware devices further down the track.

XM already runs a digital production unit in India, and the new offering will offer an alternative for clients and agencies.
