NTUC Fairprice re-appoints Havas for media but hands creative to Asatsu-DK

Havas Worldwide’s recent work for NTUC Fairprice

Supermarket chain NTUC Fairprice has re-appointed Havas Media to handle its media buying in Singapore, but has moved its creative account out of Havas Worldwide and into Japanese agency Asatsu-DK after a full service review.

Havas group has handled creative and media for Fairprice since 2008.

The result draws to a close a review that kicked off in February. Contenders for the media review included GroupM while McCann was among those running for the creative account, Mumbrella understands.

The announcement from NTUC Fairprice:

An open tender exercise was held earlier this year to commission the creative agency and media buying agency for NTUC FairPrice. All agencies that meet the criteria of the exercise were eligible to pitch for the account including the incumbent agencies.

Following a stringent evaluation process Asatsu-DK has been selected as the creative agency while Havas Media, will be retained as the media buying agency. Asatsu-DK will officially assume its role in the fourth quarter of this year.

We appreciate the amount of work and time participating agencies have put into this tender process and take this opportunity to thank them for their support and interest.

Havas Worldwide Singpaore was behind NTUC Fairprice’s latest ‘For the Heroes in Our Lives’ campaign to mark Singapore’s 50th birthday.
