TBWA/Hakuhodo uses extreme golf course to promote benefits of Nissan vehicle

TBWA/HAKUHODO Japan used golfers playing in extreme locations in a campaign to promote the resilience of the Nissan X-Trail Hybrid vehicle.

The agency created the X-treme golf cup with players invited to tee off in sand dunes, cliffs edges, waterfalls and in underground caves.

It received 300 applications from both professional and amateur athletes from across Japan.

Three finalists then played off in with the Nissan X-Trail Hybrid the grand prize.

The campaign was designed to showcase the “outstanding driving performance and fuel efficiency” of the Nissan.
