Ad tech firm Komli Media has launched an office in Jakarta through a deal with real-time data broker Smartpipe.

The Indonesian office will add to a presence for the company, whose Southeast Asian operations were acquired by Malaysian telco Axiata last August, in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

The news comes as Komli prepares to launch new products into Southeast Asia, native ad platform Appjacket PLUS and and in-app ad platform Product Listing Ads, in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand first, before rolling them out in Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Komli has appointed Udit Dave as head of its Southeast Asia operations based in Jakarta. He was previously head of demand side relations, Southeast Asia, for the company, which has said that it will expand the team to 15 members over the next four months.

“At a time when Indonesia is experiencing a significant increase in mobile advertising growth, we are excited by the opportunity to broker targeting advertising solutions for Komli with Smartpipe” said Chirag Shah, business head, Komli Media.

Komli Media’s Indian business was acquired by SVP in August last year.
