Cook

GroupM media agency Maxus has appointed Nathan Cook, national head of trading for Australia, as head of trading for Asia Pacific.

Cook’s move follows the promotion of current regional trading head Simon Porter to deputy global trading director.

Cook moves from Melbourne, where he worked with clients including Fiat Chrysler, Jetstar, Hungry Jack’s, Suzuki, Uniqlo, Unicharm, iSelect and Aldi, to Singapore.

He will work with Nick Binns, CIO GroupM APAC, and supported by Anita Munro, regional trading director, and Scotty Ho, associate trading director.

Over his career, he has worked at Ikon Communications, Zenith and Mindshare, and also for South East Water, a Victorian government-owned corporation, as part of the commercial ventures team.

Maxus APAC CEO Ajit Varghese said: “Nathan is an excellent and deserving candidate to advance into this role, bringing a proven track record in driving value for clients and several years of experience in Australia, a key market for Maxus. He has a wealth of cross-category experience and his calm, focused approach will prove a great asset for managing both internal and external stakeholders across cultural regions.”
