Netflix logoNetflix is looking to fill a number of key roles as it continues to staff up to propel its expansion in Asia, including a talent director for the region.

The content streaming company is looking for a Singapore-based senior manager of marketing operations for Asia, a regional social media coordinator and a social media manager for India, as well as a number of other administrative marketing roles as Netflix build capacity for expansion.

Talent is a priority for the company, which is looking to bring in a director of talent as well as a talent coordinator and a talent researcher for APAC.

The company is still looking for a director of partner marketing for the region, a job that was posted on LinkedIn at the beginning of last month. Netflix is also in the market for publicity managers, and a marketing finance operations specialist.

In recent weeks, Netflix has hired Jessica Lee from McDonald’s to run regional communications, former Airbnb advisor Yu-Chuang Kuek as a director, and Alan Wong, formerly of Amazon, is the company’s LA-based Asia director.

The former director of marketing for Nike Japan, Taka Osaki, is Netflix’s lead marketer for the region. As VP and head of marketing for Netflix APAC, Osaki divides his time between Japan and Singapore.

Other key hires for Netflix are Hiroshi Naka, who is running marketing for the company in Japan, and Julian Lai-Hung, formerly of Warner Bros, who is director of content for that market.

Former Twitter executive Asako Iijima is Netflix’s social media manager for Japan.

The internet TV company is working with Singapore-based independent The Little Secret Agency for advertising and social media in Asia, while MSL is handling public relations.

Netflix has been embarking on a major push into Asia at the start of this year, but its progress has not been without obstacles. The service was blocked by a telco in Indonesia last month over censorship issues.
