Wego commercial director Rick Mulia returns home to Australia to lead Rubicon Project

Rick MuliaRick Mulia has moved on from Wego seven months after re-joining the online travel company to relocate to Australia.

He has joined programmatic firm Rubicon Project as MD, Asia Pacific and Japan, and will be based in Sydney.

Mulia left Wego to launch the Indonesian operation of Twitter in 2014, but left after a very short stint to return to his previous role of commercial director.

Wego is now searching for a replacement for Mulia.

Jay Stevens, Rubicon Project’s general manager, international, commented: “It’s hard to find anyone with more experience in this field than Rick. He has opened offices, developed platforms, established joint ventures and ran projects that have pulled together multiple disciplines within large organisations like Microsoft and Yahoo!7. We know he’ll love the energy and ‘can do’ attitude that is an intrinsic part of the Rubicon Project culture”.
