Dentsu Aegis digital agency Isobar has launched in Vietnam following the acquisition of local firm Emerald a little over a year ago.

The 80-people company, which has offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang, will be led by Denise Thi, the founder of Emerald, as managing director.

The firm will be branded Isobar Vietnam, which has clients including Abbott, adidas, Air France, Bridgestone, BMW, Kimberly-Clark, and Triumph, and local clients Kido, Nam Long Group, Vinamilk, and Vietnam International Bank.

In a press release, Toshinori Aoki, country CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Vietnam, said: “As a digital agency in the digital economy, Isobar attracts the most attention, both from clients and peers. With the presence of Isobar Vietnam in the network, I am confident that Dentsu Aegis Network Vietnam will be able to offer the most innovative talent and services to our clients.”

When Dentsu Aegis acquired Emerald last March, the deal cemented an affiliate relationship that had been in place since 2012. A similar arrangement was in place between DAN digital agency iProspect and Consider Digital in Malaysia before DAN acquired Consider just over a week ago.
