BBH is the most awarded agency at Singapore Effies 2016
BBH has emerged as the most awarded agency at the Singapore Effies for the first time.
The Publicis Groupe creative shop won one gold Effie and two silvers, a slightly higher tally than DDB – which has dominated the show for the last decade – and Publicis, which both won a gold and a bronze Effie.
BBH won gold with a financial advisor match-making service for NTUC Income, and a silver for Orange Aid campaign for NTUC Income, and one for UOB Bank.
DDB won gold for the Ministry of Communications and Information – the only government client to win an Effie this year – and bronze for Starhub. Publicis claimed both awards for Scoot. BBDO won the other of four golds awarded, for long-standing client Guinness.
While NTUC Income won the most prestigious awards, Lego was the most awarded advertiser, winning three bronzes with work done by two different agencies, Iris and Geometry Global.

This year’s Singapore Effies, which are organised by the Institute of Advertising Singapore, were chaired by John Hadfield, CEO BBH Asia Pacific.
He commented: “We have had huge interest in the Singapore Effies this year. From a near-record number of entries, to the number and standing of the judges, to a very well attended awards night. Thanks to everyone for their continued support, and congratulations to all of the winners. It’s a hard task to achieve an Effie, so it’s great that thirteen entries convinced the judges of their merits.”
