OMG’s top APAC trader Paul Moreton switches to Mediabrands, Tony Harradine moves to Singapore to replace him

Omnicom Media Group has promoted Tony Harradine to APAC chief investment officer to replace long-serving executive Paul Moreton, who has left the group after 10 years of service to join rival IPG Mediabrands.

Harradine was previously head of investment for OMG in Australia, and moves from Sydney to Singapore to take on the role, effective at the start of next year.

Moreton, who was top trader for OMG APAC for the last six years, and before that worked in Australia for OMD, has moved to New York where he has teamed up with IPG Mediabrands global CEO Henry Tajer as global SVP of commercial operations.

OMG’s regional head Cheuk Chiang said that Harradine was hired as a replacement for Moreton after a global search.

“Tony’s track record in Australia has been second to none. He built the country’s most strategic, most competitive and most transparent investment offering. Combine this with his global experience, future facing approach and deep media partner connections and we have one of the best investment leaders in the business,” Chiang said.
