U Mobile launches ‘Telcolympics’ to highlight failings of rival networks in Malaysia

Malaysia’s U Mobile has launched a new ad campaign in which telco networks compete in the ‘Telcolympics’.

One after the other contestants are disqualified for various failings of their networks, such as data only being available on weekends. 

Enter U Mobile, which puts in a masterful performance on the mat with a pair of pom-poms and a bright orange tutu.

The campaign, created by ad agency BBDO Malaysia, emerges three months after U Mobile came up with a humorous take on the three types of Waze users in Malaysia to promote its free data package.
