Singapore PR agency Redhill expands with new San Francisco office

In a bid to boost its clients’ presence in the United States, Singapore-based public relations agency Redhill has opened an office in San Francisco. The independent agency already has offices in 11 markets, including China, India, Malaysia and Thailand, but this will be its first outside Asia.

As part of the expansion, Redhill has appointed Alexandra Cirgenski to oversee the San Francisco hub as the agency’s first regional director of North America. Joining from Los Angeles-based capital funding company Harper Partners, Cirgenski has more than 10 years of experience in communications and branding roles.

The US office will largely service Redhill’s eight venture capitalist clients, including Singapore and Los Angeles-based Wavemaker, as well as 15 Asian start-up companies in the first stages of significant investor funding. However, Mumbrella Asia understands the agency plans to seek new business with American clients.

Redhill partner Jacob Puthenparambil said: “San Francisco is a natural progression for us. Our foray into the US will grant us direct access to the media landscape there.”

Coinciding with its US expansion, Redhill made a series of new hires across Asia. In Singapore, Malini Thakker joins the firm as account manager for clients such as Kejora Ventures, REAPRA and VentureCraft. Nicole Tow and Pranav Rastogi have also joined the Singapore office as consultants. They will be responsible for digital content and business development respectively. Redhill has also made new senior hires in Malaysia and Thailand.
