Thai actress Chompoo Araya stars in tongue-in-cheek ad for Sabina bras

Thailand lingerie brand Sabina has recruited television star Chompoo Araya to front a cheeky new campaign for its wireless bra collection.

The campaign consists of two television commercials, one running for 30 seconds and the other for 15 seconds,  showing the actress backstage at a fashion show.

The first video opens with Araya telling the make-up artist about her new wireless bra, which “comfortably performs”.

The sceptical make-up artist remains unconvinced until the actress unfastens her robe and shows her bra – although a curiously placed make-up box hides the view from the audience.

Surprised, the makeup artist shrieks, causing curiosity in the backstage area. As everyone gathers around to see Araya’s bra, the viewer remains in the dark as something remains blocking the view until the last moment.

The ad finishes with Araya addressing the camera with the words: “Come on, I only represent this brand?”

In the shorter version of the ad, the ad concludes with a tongue-in-cheek conversation between Araya and her fellow models, questioning the bra’s reliability for different shaped women.

Created by GREYnJ United,  the ‘Perform Comfortably’ campaign, also includes a ‘Making of’ video featuring interviews with the Araya and the TV commercial crew.
