Former Mediacorp CCO Jack Lim resurfaces at MMA media company ONE Championship

The former chief commercial officer of Mediacorp has joined Singaporean mixed martial arts media company ONE Championship two months following his departure from the broadcasting giant.

Jack Lim will take over the role of CCO at the MMA promotion firm and will be tasked with uniting its revenue streams and seeking out new growth opportunities.

Mediacorp announced the departure of Lim and digital head Shane Mitchell in March in order to make way for Twitter’s Parminder Singh, who was named chief commercial and digital officer.

Lim officially remained with the company on gardening leave until June. On joining ONE Championship, he said: “I am honoured to join such a world-class senior leadership team at ONE Championship. The breadth and depth of insights and experiences I’ve gained from working in world class multinationals will go a long way in driving ONE Championship’s global growth in the years to come.

“The team at ONE is incredibly passionate, with the technical expertise necessary for aggressive execution, and the heart to overcome any obstacle.”

Founded by millionaire entrepreneur Chatri Sityodtong in 2011, ONE Championship is one of Asia’s largest sports media houses, broadcasting MMA fights to more than 128 countries.

Chairman and CEO Sityodtong added: “I am thrilled to announce the addition of Jack Lim to our executive leadership team. Jack is one of Asia’s most seasoned business leaders in the media industry. Without a doubt, our success is due to our amazing leaders and staff at ONE Championship.

“To unlock the full monetisation of our assets, ONE Championship needs a strong and seasoned leader to think through all of our assets and how best to optimise them across all revenue streams. With Jack joining our senior leadership team, I am excited at the possibilities for ONE Championship.”
