Ad tech firm Grapeshot opens office in Hong Kong

Jeremy Chang

Ad tech firm Grapeshot has opened an office in Hong Kong in a bid to have greater access to the Asia-Pacific market.

The company, which specialises in keyword targeting, has appointed Jeremy Chang as sales director and Suki Ngai as an account manager to handle clients in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The announcement:

According to Zenith’s latest advertising expenditure forecasts, Asia Pacific sees the fastest growth in digital ad spend, accounting for 43 per cent of global growth. Hong Kong, as one of the key economy centres in APAC, is critical to Grapeshot’s growth plan in APAC.

“Hong Kong has always been a strategic market for Grapeshot. We’ve been serving this market out of the APAC headquarters. Now it’s the time to set up a local entity to stay close to our partners and customers and help them address brand challenges with our contextual targeting and brand safety solutions,” said Chris Pattinson, Senior Vice President, APAC at Grapeshot. “We have hired a senior team with extensive experience in the programmatic industry in Hong Kong. We are confident that they will accelerate Grapeshot’s growth in the local market.”

Suki Ngai

Jeremy brings to Grapeshot seven years of experience in sales, marketing and client relations. He joined from Cluep, a contextual targeting mobile advertising platform, where he was Sales Director for Hong Kong. Jeremy also spent more than 3 years in China before he joined ZenithOptimedia Group in Toronto, where he led successful digital campaigns for clients including Twentieth Century Fox, Searchlight, and Dreamworks. Suki was previously with Omnicom Media Group in Hong Kong. She has strong communication skills and account management experience.
