Huawei’s lesson in the art of vlogger advertising

Dr Mumbo has nothing but the greatest regard for the idea of using so-called influencers in all forms of marketing.

Why hire professional companies when influencers are so much more, erm, cost-effective?

So Dr Mumbo is delighted to share this piece of best practice advertising from Chinese mobile giant Huawei, featuring Dubai-based influencer Mohamed Beiraghdary

Dr Mumbo is unable to pinpoint what it is he likes the most.

Could it be Mo’s enthusiasm over the product features: gushing that Huawei’s camera “can recognise 13 scenes and objects and optimise the quality automatically”?

Or maybe it’s his product demonstration,  taking a snap with a finger on the camera shutter?

Then again, maybe it’s the high quality comedic sound effects.

Or perhaps it’s Huawei’s customer service’s responses to some of the comments the ad has generated on Facebook.

This is one ad that deserves to go global…
