Williams Lea Tag appoints Hogarth & Ogilvy Japan MD as executive director

Williams Lea Tag has appointed Fred Kendall, the former managing director of Hogarth & Ogilvy, as executive director for North Asia.

Kendall follows his former boss, Ogilvy Japan CEO Aki Kubo, to the marketing communications agency’s North Asia hub in Tokyo.

The announcement: 

Prior to joining Williams Lea Tag, Kendall was Managing Director at Hogarth & Ogilvy for four years where he was responsible for transforming their production unit in to one of the group’s most successful units. Prior to H&O, Kendall has held various senior agency and client positions in Japan and the United States including positions at TBWA, BBDO and Toyota.

Having led numerous marketing activities in Japan and globally, Kendall has a direct and hands-on understanding of the significant opportunities available to grow and develop Williams Lea Tag’s creative production business.

Speaking of his appointment, Fred Kendall said: “Today, there are a number of critical factors driving the growth and nature of marketing services including the ongoing digital revolution, the growing role of content marketing and the need to more effectively and efficiently globalise marketing campaigns.
