Under the new leadership structure, long-running Cohn & Wolfe leader Matt Stafford will take over Asia-Pacific presidency.

Stafford previously spent six years leading the agency’s Greater China operations between 2008 and 2014, before taking on a stint as a cabinet secretary for the Australian government.

He then returned to WPP in 2016 as Cohn & Wolfe regional president.

His agency counterpart Margaret Key, who has been the chief executive officer for Burson-Marsteller since 2015, will now move into the role of Asia leader of AxiCom, Cohn & Wolfe’s technology agency.

Meanwhile, in India, the two agencies will continue co-exist separately.

Cohn & Wolfe bought the local agency Six Degrees two-and-a-half years ago giving it offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. The agency still has another two-and-half years to complete its earn-out following the acquisition.

Globally, Chris Foster, formerly EVP of global business development at Burson, has been named as president of North America and Laura Eder, most recently North American president at Cohn & Wolfe, as EVP and MD of North America.
