BBH Singapore scoops three golds at Effie Awards as Hossan Leong again takes centre stage
BBH Singapore scooped all three gold awards presented at the Effie’s last night with the agency also picking up two silver awards in collaboration with OMD.
It received the top accolade in the business to business and sustained success categories for work carried out for United Overseas Bank. The third gold came in the financial products and services category for its Times Have Changed campaign for Income.
On a successful night for the agency, BBH Singapore picked up silver awards in the branded content and sustained success categories, both for campaigns for Income.
But again, it was the musical extravaganza which proved the highlight for many with Singaporean actor and TV host Hossan Leong again taking the stage.
He belted out a couple of quality numbers, including You’re Too Good to be True during which he appeared to serenade the Effies logo.
Elsewhere in the awards, J Walter Thomson won two Effies, a silver in the brand experience category for its Choose What Your Love campaign for HSBC Singapore. and a bronze for its programmatic work with Samsung Mobile.
Ogilvy & Mather Singapore also picked up a silver and bronze in the branded content and fast food, casual dining and restaurants category.
Effies Singapore chairman John Hadfield said: “It is, and should be, a hard task to achieve an Effie.”

ReplyBut completely unsurprising.
ReplyAs a Mumbrella commentator it’s my job to hate everything and hold a grudge against everyone.
But BBH is the only agency in town doing work that’s consistently of a decent standard, the only ones doing the occasional thing that’s great and the best agency in terms of proving that good stuff works.
Congratulations guys. Well deserved and please. please keep flying the flag
Reply…first hand experience of the work delivered to a Dutch dairy company that took a mind bogglingly long time to deliver and ended up being so far off brand it may have been a random student portfolio piece.
So no.
ReplyI’m looking at the ratio of great to good to average to poor.
And BBH has the best ratio in town
