Independent creative agency Govt Singapore has produced an ice cream pop-up stall at the famous Lau Pa Sat Hawker Centre in Singapore to promote two new Ben & Jerry’s flavours.

The stand will serve free ice cream for two weeks in the traditional Singaporean wafer biscuits and rainbow bread.

The announcement:

Ben & Jerry’s and GOVT Singapore are bringing to life 2 new flavours – Chocolate Shake It Truffles and Chillin’ the Roast Truffles, in a uniquely local way through a pop-up scoop shop called Scoopitiam.

Ben & Jerry’s quirky and colourful take on our local coffee shop, was created to inform customers that their favourite beverages (cold-brew coffee and a chocolate malt drink) are better served frozen. Located in Singapore’s iconic Lau Pa Sat, Ben & Jerry’s Scoopitiam will be serving an unlimited amount of free ice cream in both new flavours for 2 weeks, starting 16th July. And to push the envelope a little more, the ice-creams will even be served the

“Ben & Jerry’s is a spontaneous and fun brand, so when we heard about the new flavours and the parallels with our favourite beverages, we just couldn’t resist the idea of a Scoopitiam. Not only does it highlight “Your favourite beverages, better served frozen” in a relevant way but it also gives an iconic American brand a unique Singaporean flavour.” said Pradeep

“In such a saturated super-premium ice-cream marketplace, where every brand is trying to portray luxury and premium-ness through their advertising strategies, we are thrilled at the prospect of launching a global Ben & Jerry’s flavour with such a strong local tinge. Because not only does it reflect our brand personality but it also helps boost the relevance in Singapore.” said Ellen Yap, Marketing Manager, Foods & Refreshment, Unilever Singapore.

Ben & Jerry’s Scoopitiam is open from 16th – 29th July at Stall 79-87 Lau Pa Sat, 18 Raffles Quay, S048582 every Monday – Friday from 11am-7pm, and every Saturday & Sunday from 11am-5pm.
