BBDO Singapore hires new executive creative director as Primus Nair exits agency

BBDO Singapore has named Mateusz Mroszczak as its new executive creative director, replacing Primus Nair who is leaving the agency after seven years to “pursue new opportunities”.

Mateusz Mroszczak is returning to BBDO after only eight months at Happiness

Mroszczak joins from Happiness Brussels and Saigon, a creative agency he had only joined in January as group creative director, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Prior to Happiness, Mroszczak was executive creative director at Brussels-based Darwin BBDO, a role he held since July 2015.

He will take over from Nair who joined BBDO in June 2011, rising to ECD in mid 2014.

BBDO Singapore chief executive Richard Fraser said Nair was “an invaluable member of the leadership team and a key contributor to the growth of the agency”.

“We thank him for all the years of energy, effort and dedication, and wish him all the best,” he said.

Fraser described Mroszczak as a “world-class creative leader with a unique ability to blend storytelling, experience and technology”.

“Mat has had tremendous creative success during his time at Happiness and Darwin BBDO, creating work that is borderless, memorable and effective. We look forward to working with him to create the same success here in Singapore.”

Mroszczak said in a statement: “When I first met the BBDO Singapore team, I knew immediately it was going to be a great fit. The story of how they’ve been transforming the agency and their vision for what a great agency should be is inspiring.

“I am really excited about having the opportunity to work with the team and help to elevate The Work, The Work, The Work. We have got all the ingredients needed to do amazing work – a deep pool of young talent, strong client portfolio and a collaborative network.”
