Singapore Airlines retains top spot in brand perception study

Singapore Airlines remains the most positively perceived brand in the island state, ahead of WhatsApp and Google, a YouGov study has found.

The annual BrandIndex rankings are based on customer perceptions of quality, value, impressions, reputation, satisfaction and whether consumers would recommend the brand to others.

The airline came top for the second successive year.

Clothing brand Uniqlo climbed one place to fourth, with YouTube fifth and Facebook sixth.

DBS was the highest climber, rising from 10th to seventh. The Apple iPhone, The Straits Times and POSB Bank completed the top 10.

YouGov also compiled a list of the most improved brands, based on the same set of guidelines.

Samsung took the honours followed by Lazada, Redmart, Huawei, Instagram and Malaysia Airlines.
