Text100 names new head of Singapore business

PR firm Text100 has named Mabel Chiang as the new head of its Singapore business. The announcement:

Text100, a global marketing communications consultancy, today announces the promotion of Mabel Chiang to the role of Managing Consultant for Singapore, effective August 1.

Mabel, who joined the agency 11 years ago, takes over the reins of the Singapore business from Marc Ha, an 18-year veteran with Text100, who has been appointed to a regional role as Managing Director, Client Strategy and Business Development, APAC. Mabel will report into Yeow Mei Ling, a Text100 veteran of 12 years who becomes Managing Director, Southeast Asia overseeing the agency’s operations in the SEA region.

“I’m hugely proud that Mabel has agreed to take up the reins. She is an accomplished, highly-respected leader who embodies what Text100 is all about – committed, talented and people-focused. She will continue to be brilliant as she guides the rocket ship that is Text100 Singapore to even greater heights,” said Lee Nugent, Regional Director, APAC.

Mabel’s remit will be to drive Text100’s continued growth in Singapore, as well as to retain the agency’s focus on client satisfaction and employee retention. Her promotion comes on the back of seven new retainer client wins in 2018 for Text100 Singapore, of which six were from competitive pitches. Some of these new clients include Alipay, Cloudera, PropertyGuru and Qlik.

These new wins augment the agency’s focus on client retention and the expansion of marketing communications services to existing clients. Some of Text100’s long-tenured or growth clients in Singapore include Adobe, NetApp, Red Hat, Rolls-Royce, Swift and Zebra Technologies.

Text100 Singapore has grown rapidly over the past twelve months, employing 37 staff today. Notably, the agency has successfully built out a full suite of marketing communications services, winning awards across PR, social, digital and culture. More than 50 percent of the agency’s revenues come from integrated offerings such as content and digital marketing, as well as from strategic consulting services such as brand narrative, buyer persona development and crisis management.

Text100 also spearheaded a regional initiative with LinkedIn out of Singapore to get certified as its Content Marketing Partner across APAC.

“We are meeting more companies that prefer to work with a single agency that can conceptualise, plan, produce and execute an entire campaign across earned, owned, social and paid channels,” said Mabel Chiang. “Text100 has invested the last few years in building out this capability, offering our clients access to a raft of public relations, social, content and digital marketing services, including a full-service creative hub comprising copywriters, creative strategists, designers and film-makers. As we grow, we continue to seek out the best talent from the industry whilst developing our existing people in the agency. Training, culture and morale are incredibly important aspects of building a successful, enduring business.”
