L&K Saatchi & Saatchi wins creative mandate for Indian steel conglomerate Jindal Stainless

Steel conglomerate Jindal Stainless has appointed L&K Saatchi & Saatchi as creative agency for India following a multi-agency pitch.

Neither client nor agency were forthcoming on details about other agencies pitching and size of the business.

The account will be managed from the agency’s New Delhi office and the campaign will run across online and offline mediums including television, print, outdoor and radio.

Speaking about the decision to choose L&K Saatchi & Saatchi, Jindal Stainless’s managing director Abhyuday Jindal said: “Our aim is to bring JSL close to the consumer’s heart, as a brand.

“This provides us with the task of reinventing the way we communicate about the brand and to do that, I whole-heartedly welcome Law & Kenneth Saatchi & Saatchi as our strategy and communication partner in creating this new approach.”

Commenting on the appointment, Jindal Stainless’s chief marketing officer Ajey Shiledar said: “The team took pains and initiative to understand our business, as it straddles the B2B and B2C space.”

L&K Saatchi & Saatchi’s CEO and managing partner Anil Nair added: “The ambition of redefining a category is challenging and exciting. And we’re looking forward to doing the work that is going to do deliver that.”
