The strange case of the Marina Bay Sands ‘selfie’ pool and Jeremy Clarkson
The ‘selfie’, I mean rooftop, pool at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore is one of Dr Mumbo’s favourite haunts to people watch.
Many a column has been typed while sitting up there sipping on a Singapore Sling.
But now it seems that revhead television presenter Jeremy Clarkson wants a slice of the action too. He is apparently in the Lion City this week, according to his Instagram feed, and he is confused by what he is seeing.
Particularly those selfie moments at MBS. In fact, Dr M is told, the MBS pool is the number one selfie spot in the world. For influencers and wannabe influencers, it’s somewhat of a rites of passage it is said.
Clarkson also decided against driving here too. Perhaps, like the rest of us, he just found the price of motoring to be too high in Singapore. Hitching it is then.
Poor chap has no clue about the do’s and don’ts hailing a cab….he’s standing right next to the dreaded double yellow line. AND a bus lane!!!!
