Jin Choi joins MediaCom Korea as managing director

MediaCom Korea has appointed Jin Choi as managing director. He was most recently with data-driven agency Golden Planet as chief executive marketing officer, and has previously worked with Isobar and iProspect.

Choi’s appointment follows on the heels of the promotion of Jinyoung Choi as general manager. Former MediaCom Korea general manager Jinny Kim is taking a career break after five years with the agency.

MediaCom Korea has bolstered its leadership team with the appointment of Jin Choi as Managing Director and the promotion of Jinyoung Choi to General Manager. Jinny Kim, former General Manager of MediaCom Korea, will be taking a career break after a five-year tenure with the agency.

Jin Choi joins MediaCom with a fantastic track record of success in digital and data focused leadership roles, most recently as Chief Executive Marketing Officer (CEMO) with Golden Planet; an agency which focuses on big data, marketing automation and consultancy. Prior to this, Jin Choi spent over 8 years leading iProspect and Isobar Korea for the Dentsu Aegis Group. As Managing Director, Jin Choi will ensure MediaCom’s clients continue to benefit from the best tools, talent and connected communications provided from across its network.

Rewarding exceptional talent from within, Jinyoung Choi has been promoted from his current role of Business Director, to General Manager. He has played a pivotal part in the success of MediaCom in recent years assisting in high profile client wins including Richemont, MARS, P&G, Shell and SK Networks.

As General Manager, Jinyoung Choi’s new-found responsibilities will include leading the Korean team in partnership with Jin Choi to ensure best in class client service.

With both appointments effective immediately, Jin Choi will report jointly to Mark Heap, MediaCom APAC CEO, and Jason Chung, GroupM Korea CEO.
