Lazada on the lookout for a creative and branding agency
Ecommerce firm Lazada is apparently on the hunt for a creative and branding agency.
A source from a large agency told Mumbrella that while it had been approached, the terms of engagement were not favourable and the timelines too brief.
This comes shortly after reports that Lazada picked Dentsu Aegis network agency Vizeum as its regional media partner. DAN did not respond to a request for a comment.
Earlier this year, Lazada had unveiled a grand vision for going past being just an ecommerce portal styling itself as a pioneer of “shoppertainment”.
Besides, the platform aimed to lend itself to launches, bespoke campaigns and becoming a “new brands incubator”.
As the owner of an agency whose client regularly supplies creative to Lazada, a 36 hour turnaround is pretty standard. We’re small, not quite sure how a large agency with a more complex sign-off process could manage timelines like that.
