Co-working space 91springboard picks OMD India as its media AOR

Indian co-working space 91springboard has hired OMD India as its media agency of record.

The agency was given an edge in the pitch by its “people-first” approach which resonated with the marketing team at 91springboard.

The announcement:

91springboard has appointed OMD India as its media agency of record following a competitive pitch. The co-working space and entrepreneurial community provider will now work closely with the marketing performance company on achieving its business objectives of expanding capacity in the next three years and driving further expansion across India.

Launched in 2013, 91springboard has quickly grown from a start-up behind a co-working space in Mohan Estate, New Delhi to become a vibrant community for start-ups, freelancers and business owners with a start-up mindset. The company now offers 28 coworking locations in 9 cities across India and positions itself as a ‘springboard’ for other start-ups and likeminded enterprises to achieve greater success through their communities’ infrastructure, knowledge sharing, networking and collaboration. Last year, the company raised an additional $10.2 million in funding from Singapore-based marketing technology company, FreakOut, bringing their total investment to $33 million.

Speaking on the appointment, Ali Mirza, Chief Marketing Officer at 91springboard said: “In a world where technology is increasingly taking precedence over everything else, OMD stood head and shoulders above the rest in understanding that people come first – a value that 91springboard strongly believes in. From the first conversation to the final presentation, it was obvious that the team put human insights at the core of their solutions; they certainly demonstrated their technology capabilities and infrastructure, but added a unique human element to their approach. We are delighted to partner with them and look forward to the team’s valuable contribution in continuing our success story.”

“91springboard and OMD share a similar ethos in the way we value our customers, so it was a very natural and complementary partnership that emerged between us during the review process,” added Priti Murthy, CEO of OMD India. “We look forward to working closely with them on unlocking new communications solutions that are deeply rooted in human insights, effectively driving Better Decisions, Faster for their business as they continue to grow and expand across India.”
