BBDO’s Ben Israel moves to TBWA as global brand director on SIA
Ben Israel has moved from BBDO to fellow-Omnicom group agency TBWA Singapore. He will be global business director on the Singapore Airlines account. Israel was most recently general manager at BBDO Singapore. He has previously worked with Adobe, and run digital mandates at McCann Worldgroup and Edelman.
His appointment comes at a time of several senior level changes at the agency. Shortly after it retained the Singapore Airlines business in a closely contested pitch, TBWA Asia president Ian Pearman announced his decision to leave the agency to join a consumer facing startup. After 11 years with the agency, executive creative director Gary Steele moved from TBWA Singapore to DDB New Zealand.
The agency has shored up its senior leadership promoting Ara Hampartsoumian CEO of TBWA Group Singapore, promoting Mary Wong as managing partner. Last month, CEO Sean Donovan was given the mandate of TBWA Asia president in addition to his current role as CEO of TBWA Group South Africa.
