Nicolas Menat appointed to newly created chief client officer role at Publicis Groupe APAC

Publicis Groupe has promoted Nicolas Menat to the newly created role of chief client officer for Asia-Pacific. This will be in addition to Menat’s current role as CEO for Publicis Groupe Asia-Pacific.

He will continue to be based in Singapore and report to Publicis Groupe Asia-Pacific and Middle East and Africa CEO Loris Nold.

Starting his career at Havas in 1987, Menat has been through a series of leadership roles with Publicis Groupe in the region for almost 15 years – including CEO of beacon communications in Tokyo; CEO of Publicis One in Asia (Japan, Korea, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam) before moving into the CEO for South East Asia and North Asia role in January 2018.

His expanded mandate at Publicis Groupe, comes in the wake of the recent appointment of Jane Lin-Baden as CEO of North Asia.

Speaking about Menat’s new role, Nold said: “Partnering with our clients to drive business impact for them is our single most important mission.

“For years now, the Power of One has uniquely allowed us to put our clients at the centre of our agenda, and to create agile and tailor-made solutions for them, bringing the best of our talents and capabilities, be it at country or regional level.

“With Nicolas’ appointment we have a great opportunity to accelerate on our ambition.”

Menat said: “Asia-Pacific remains a land of incredible growth opportunities for our clients and it is our absolute priority to best support them.

“As they are facing some pressure through increased competition, as new behaviors and disrupted media make it harder than ever for brands to engage with consumers, our clients expect more from their agency partners.

“Thanks to our ‘Power of One’ strategy, we are in a strong position to be the partner they need in their own transformation.

“I am thrilled to take this on and work together with our country and client leaders, to continue developing stronger and brighter creative ideas, and overall drive more impact for the benefit of our clients”.
