Innocean to foray into Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong following Wellcom Group acquisition

Korean ad agency Innocean Worldwide has acquired Australia-based Wellcom Group, a creative production and marketing services company. Riding on Wellcom Group’s global presence, Innocean will enter markets like Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and New Zealand. Wellcom Group is also active in the United States and Europe.

Post-acquisition, Innocean will expand its network to 19 countries, 28 operations and over 2,700 employees. 

A press announcement from the Hyundai-owned Innocean said: “With Wellcom Group which retains global companies as clients joining as a new family member, Innocean is spurring a second leap in the global market with its differentiated digital capabilities.”

Among Wellcom Groups clients are ANZ Bank, Tesco and Victoria’s Secret. It also has an in-house platform to track project progress and manage content assets. 

Innocean which has for years been known as the ‘Hyundai agency’ believes this is a great opportunity to secure new global clients.
