PR firm Ruder Finn’s SE Asia MD Martin Alintuck exits after a short stint

Martin Alintuck has left public relations firm Ruder Finn as managing director for South East Asia. Alintuck told Mumbrella he had left the agency for personal reasons.

He joined Ruder Finn last October in the newly created role of managing director South East Asia with a mandate to run the offices in Singapore and Malaysia as well as affiliate agencies of the PR firm across the region. Alintuck was also expected to help with new business development, team management and grow the agency’s presence in the region, besides working closely with the regional and global network.

He joined after winding down a Thailand-based consulting practice. He had previously worked for Edelman, Grey and Burson Marsteller. Asked about the highlights of his tenure at Ruder Finn, he said: “I built a new digital/integrated marketing team which gave us the capabilities in digital strategy, analytics, social media, user experience and web design.

“I launched Ruder Finn South East Asia’s first-ever intellectual capital, looking at the online content consumption behaviours, needs and attitudes of consumers in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand. The third highlight was winning and doing great work for great brands.”

On his plans for the future, he said: “They are to be decided, but I am passionate about the need for brands, agencies and practitioners to ‘disrupt’ how they are communicating given our world of PR, communications and marketing is changing so rapidly.

“Ideally, my next role will be focused on that.”
