Trip.com and Western Australia Tourism woo Singapore commuters with interactive ads

A new campaign for Trip.com in Singapore in partnership with Tourism Western Australia has pushed commuters in Singapore to interact with advertising.

In a campaign conceived by Moove Media, the advertising arm of cab comapny ComfortDelGro, the Dobhy Ghaut metro station was covered with images promoting Trip.com and Western Australia.

The campaign covered an entire wall mural, pillars, escalators and overhead banners. It also gave commuters a chance to win prizes for selfies taken against pop-up Instagram stands and shared on social media.

Peel-able stickers highlighting various attractions in Western Australia were placed on the wall mural with discount codes at the back of these, pushing commuters towards air tickets and hotel bookings.

Speaking about the campaign, Moove Media CEO Jayne Kwek said: “We are very happy to have Trip.com and Western Australia Tourism  advertise at Dhoby Ghaut as it is a prime location with a high footfall.

“Visual images on the wall help make the information more memorable and the recollection easier for commuters.”

Trip.com general manager for Singapore and Malaysia Edmund Wengsaid: “Singaporeans are known to be well-travelled and are constantly on the lookout for travel inspiration. In the same way, we want to explore new ways to excite people to start planning for their next trip.

“We are happy to launch this high-profile outdoor space to not only inspire travel, but also to solidify our standing as the trusted one-stop booking platform for a hassle-free travel experience.”

The campaign will also play out over buses and bus interchanges.
