Adidas stages ‘destroy V control’ street football contest in Southeast Asia to launch new boots

Adidas has launched an experiential marketing campaign to launch two new lines of football boots in Southeast Asia – the X15 and ACE15 – for “destroyers” and “controllers” who play the beautiful game.

The sportswear brand is holding a street football competition in Bangkok, KL and Jakarta, where the most creative team wins. Here’s a promo video for the contest.

The competition involves teams of just two players on a small street pitch and a six-minute game.

Adidas toured the urban football hotspots of the three cities in a branded van to find the most talent players to feature in the contest.

Adidas is pushing the contest through online video and its Facebook and Twitter pages in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

The activation was devised by Iris Worldwide.
