Puma allows commuters to ‘peel-off’ discount coupons from Singapore MRT station
Puma is persuading Singapore commuters to take discount coupons from the sportswear company by allowing them to be peeled off the wall at MRT stations this week.
The sportswear brand revealed a giant impression of its logo made of 2,000 stickers at Bugis MRT station this week. The stickers give commuters a 30 per cent discount at Puma – although only if they buy the brand’s Ignite Limitless or EvoKnit footwear at a cost of S$219 and S$239 respectively.
Puma claimed the Downtown Line in particular had a large footfall of its target audience of 16-to-23-year-olds, due to the number of students using the service. The campaign ends on March 15.
Created by Singapore-based outdoor advertising agency Moove Media, the ad forms part of Puma’s ongoing ‘Run the Streets’ campaign – to promote the Ignite product.
Moove Media chief executive Jayne Kwek said: “We didn’t want to just have the usual wallscape in which products are featured. Stickers, placed at the right places, can be an effective way to draw consumers.”
JWT & Nike beat them to it by 5 years:
